Little Hands to Heaven: Unit 2

Siri started Unit 2 of Little Hands to Heaven today. She is 3 years 4 months at this time. We are studying the letter B and the story of Noah building his big boat. She was a little less than enthused with the rhyme today, but she has her little moods like this every now and then. I am sure she will warm up to this idea tomorrow. I plan to find a cute craft to go along with the story of Noah this week. I guess I will be searching Pinterest tonight. :)

We use a variety of supplemental sheets with Little Hands to Heaven. My daughter has fairly good motor skills and likes to do worksheets like her older sister. I have a blogger friend by the name of Dawn who has some excellent printables. There is a button for her blog on my sidebar. It is Our Little Monkeys. She is a great mom and friend, and I am so happy to have found her through homeschooling!

Here is an example of one of the supplemental sheets we used today.
We used some others today as well, but this is one of the favorites in my house. I am having technical difficulties with my other pictures today too. I can upload more tomorrow though.

Here is the set of books we use with Little Hands to Heaven. I am considering something different from the ABC Bible Verses for our devotional though. I might even get crazy and switch out the Bible to the Jesus Storybook Bible. We love reading it! We'll see how the year goes!

Starting Little Hands to Heaven right now seems to be perfect timing for my little one. She is retaining the letter names and sounds and eating up the Bible stories. I'm sure we will have an excellent year and grow in so many ways!

  1. Technical difficulties...are you writing your posts in blogger, or are you using Windows Live Writer? If you don't use Live Writer, give it a try! It makes adding pictures to posts a whole lot easier! :)

Awww, thanks for the compliments! :)

I love the Jesus Storybook Bible, too...but I feel like some of it goes right over Max's little head. I am so torn on whether to use New Bible in Pictures or Jesus Storybook Bible. New Bible in Pictures seems too easy, but Jesus Storybook Bible is so intricate that I'm afraid he'll miss what's most important. (I *LOVE* Jesus Storybook Bible for Alex, though!)

  2. I am writing them in Blogger, but my technical difficulties weren't that. My normal camera was not charged so I took pics with my phone. I tried emailing the pics to myself and they wouldn't go through. I will try Live Writer though! Never heard of it!

For our lessons, we use the New Bible in Pictures. I use the Jesus Storybook Bible for bedtime at night. I feel like the one Carrie picked is perfect for the program. :)

  3. I'm glad Blogger isn't the problem. I used to have terrible problems with getting pictures loaded through Blogger, and it would take me an hour just to finish a simple post that should have taken 10 minutes or less.

That's a good way to do the Bibles!
